This excellent tip is a super simple and quick way to free
up space on the iPhone instantly, without losing any of our installed
applications!
Yes, they will not have to sacrifice any of the apps they
already have, and will immediately make room for an additional app!
How to free space on the iPhone?
In the past, the "trick" was to download a heavy
film that forced the iPhone to free up space to view, but this no longer works
on iOS 10. However, there is a very similar trick, which involves downloading
an app pretty heavy.
Hearthstone is a good example
because it is free and weighs 1.89 GBs. If you have less than 1 Gigabyte free,
just download Hearthstone start and after a few seconds, cancel the download.
If you go to Settings / General / Storage, you will see that they have increased
from less than one gigabyte free to more! The trick is to try to download a
heavy app than free space we have.
Why does this work? Because every app installed on your
phone not only takes up space itself, but also generates a variety of documents
and files that take up space. Those songs we hear on Spotify remain downloaded
on our phone if we want to hear them again - and so not download it again. That
document opened in Dropbox, also stays in our smartphone, taking up space. When
we want to download a heavy app, which the iPhone does it is clean up all these
temporary files, freeing up space for us to make room for a new app!
So simple is the process. And if you use iCloud Photo
Library with the option to "Optimize Storage" enabled, which the
iPhone will delete the photos first is high quality - do not worry, still remain
in iCloud - and then proceed to free up space for apps. This worked better when
memory had reached a point where there was very little free space as 700 MBs.
