5G - You must know

Although 5G will come only in 2020 - it is important to understand the impact will have on the business environment, the new mobile technology.

Everyone who works in the tech sector or has to do with the industry succumbs in any way the fascination of technical features - finally betrayed only they, which manifest the improvements since the last update. We want faster processors, more memory, and networks with lower latencies. Every now and then there is a significant technology leap that brings more than just a little extra capacity or -speed.

You may have read that 5G will be ten to 100 times faster than 4G. This could be reflected in real speeds of up to 4GB per second. Most of the speed increase is due to the fact that network operators thanks to the millimeter-wave technology (which ensures that the signals shorter distances to cover) can provide more wireless channels. This, in turn, leads to a dramatic increase in network availability and a relief of the rear channels as Hank Kafka, responsible for network architecture at the mobile operator AT & T, assures.

Gartner analyst Akshay Sharma said: “5G will play a critical role in the establishment of new architectures such as cloud RAN, where nano data centers will be able to provide server-based network connectivity, Such as industrial IoT gateways, video caching, and transcoding, or support newer, mesh-like topologies, and more distributed, heterogeneous networks.”

Gartner analyst Entner said: “it is a massive growth in mobile cells through 5G and thus also an increased demand for rear channels: "At present, we do not know which technology will come to transmit the data for use There are two camps.: one that requires a new technology for data transmission and one that considers the existing technologies to be sufficient."
